I am looking at repairing my daughter's. You mentioned the variance by year. I am only seeing one screen and frame option for it so I assume any difference is just internal connection based but the different years use the same Digitiser and frame ? I hope so at least or I have one coming that won't work😂. Great video too, efficiently to the point. Bravo!👏

You can used liquid glue and it will stick well with the pattern transferred without any issue. Tried myself. 😊

I do it with Wallets..whistles etc. Have you tried the banbu liquid glue. I use it a lot and it goes a lONG way. Do wide thin lines, can be close to non visible on print. 3 machines and about 600 hours into a 16 dollar tube and about 2/3 left of it. Hoping to get a year out a single tube. The bummer is that it is good for One side and the way things turn out it is mostly the bottom on no support prints.

I just replaced the screen and it all works great, except now the battery isn't charging. It turns on and chimes when I plug in the charger, but the battery never goes above 0%. This wasn't an issue before I replaced the screen. Is there something I may have bumped? I know that the battery screw is tight because I made a point to check that before closing it up. Thanks!

At :26 you mentioned the finger print reader. Can I get a replacement for that connection? Somehow I broke it as I was opening her phone. I purchased four of these phones and three of them the batteries have swelled up!😮 I hope you can answer my question. Thank you!!!

After trying everything to get this to work, I have discovered the 4.2.7 board reduces the slow boot times significantly, still not worth an extra $40, and that it isnt required for this upgrade, officially being refunded. Just an FYI.

some support material requires WATER. wash the part, it'll soften and assist in removing the support structure.

I want to thank you for the video. I got everything apart and the screws were layed out then my 3yo grandson decided to mix them up while I was not looking. Took me forever to find the hole for one screw that I could not figure out. Next time as you go please show the screws too. But the video worked and I am back up and getting ready to run.

The moment you puncture the informational sticker where the screw is you void your warranty, and that's the point as it lets Microsoft know the machine had been opened.

weak layer bonds are probably because you weren't purging enough in between the two filaments... if something that doesn't stick to pla gets mixed in with pla, the pla will have trouble sticking to itself layer to layer.
